The inaugural First-Generation College Student Summit was launched in February 2016 at the University of Southern California with the mission of bringing first-generation college students, staff and faculty to learn, engage and dialogue on the first-generation college student identity. The success of the first summit proved the need to continue to have an annual summit at USC.
To build community for first-generation undergraduate and graduate college students.
To educate around issues, practices, and research on first-generation college students.
To bring visibility to the first-generation college student community and identity.
We also invite non-USC students who attend other colleges and universities. Please note that non-USC students will be charged $32.00 to attend the summit.
Lunch and dinner will be provided on Friday, and breakfast and lunch will be provided on Saturday. Housing accommodations can be made for non-USC students.
